Youngstown State University – Drive approximately ten minutes out of our Youngstown, Ohio resort to explore the rolling hills and lush landscape in this neighborhood school. The college comprises everything in your castle-like Jones Hall into the Ward Beecher Planetarium, which provides a free series every Friday and Saturday.
Butler Institute of American Art – This tradition was the first recorded completely to American artwork. Located about 10 minutes from the resort, the center houses works by Norman Rockwell and Winslow Homer, such as a variant of Snap the Whip. Bring along the children to appreciate family crafting chances.
Mill Creek MetroParks – Only 15 minutes from the resort, this expansive park is a fantastic spot to spend the afternoon. The area includes a lily pond stocked with goldfish, a nature center with a mill and displays. Originally constructed in 1845, Lanterman’s Mill still functions now, grinding fresh pasta and cornmeal which can be found in the gift store.
