Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame and Museum – Know more about Aiken’s long heritage of horse racing in this museum, situated about 10 minutes out of our resort. Relive years of steeplechases as you peruse the displays, then step out for a walk beneath the antebellum trees of Hopelands Gardens, a 15-acre stretch of paths, fountains, ponds and wetlands.
Historical Downtown Aiken – Situated less than half an hour off, downtown Aiken welcomes you artisan shops, local restaurants and also a large helping of Southern hospitality. Make sure to go to Aiken’s farmer’s marketplace, open each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Hitchcock Woods – Travel only six miles to Hitchcock Woods, where you could drift kilometres of paths canopied with Spanish moss. It is also possible to meet horseback riders who are often travelling through these forests.
