Things to Do Emporia
If you are in town for the Virginia Peanut Festival, we are less than two kilometres out of all of the pleasure in downtown Emporia. You will also find Lake Gaston and the Southampton Motor Speedway significantly less than one hour from our resort. Do not overlook these attractions that are nearby:

Village View Mansion House – head 2 kilometres south to find this gorgeous house that was constructed by James Wall from the 1790s. This mansion provides people with a glimpse of Virginia life through the early 1800s, throughout the Civil War and to the turn of this century.

Lake Gaston – Situated across the Virginia/North Carolina boundary between I-85 and I-95, Lake Gaston supplies lots of waterfront fun only 45 minutes off. Rent a boat or fish for largemouth bass in this 20,300-acre reservoir.

Fort Christanna – Half an hour in the resort, this pentagon-shaped fort was constructed from the early 1700s to shield and teach both regional settlers and Native Americans. It is possible to walk across the outline of the previous fort before enjoying a picnic in this park-like setting.
