Things to Do Fredericksburg
An important site from the Revolutionary and Civil War history, Fredericksburg starts halfway between Richmond and Washington, D.C. Our resort is suitable to both I-95 and State Route 1 and provides easy access to historical sites, such as Kenmore Mansion–the home of George Washington’s sister. Do not miss a visit to the University of Mary Washington, a railway around the Rappahannock River or some halt at these great attractions:
Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park – roughly six miles northwest of the hotel, this national park honours the soldiers that perished in four of those Civil War’s most important struggles. Hike the battle, take a tour or visit a living history reenactment.
Dominion Raceway & Entertainment – Drive approximately ten miles south for drag racing, auto shows and NASCAR Home Track Series racing. This complex is also the location to observe various festival-style concerts throughout the year.
Mary Washington House – Tour the home of George Washington’s mother, Mary, found less than 15 minutes out of our resort. You can not chop down a cherry tree, but you can view Mary’s authentic kitchen, vibrant gardens and genuine 18th-century artifacts.
