Things to Do Prairie du Chien
You’ll find lots of activities to enjoy in this beautiful region of the country if you are in the mood to bet Lady Luck Casino or sample wines in Eagles Landing Winery. Do not overlook these other favourites throughout your trip to Wisconsin’s second oldest town:

Pikes Peak State Park – Our resort is six miles from this country park, showcasing some of the most magnificent viewpoints in the upper Midwest. The biking and hiking course of Pikes Peak extend beyond picturesque valleys, limestone walls and fossil remains. Just take a break at Bridal Veil Falls before attaining scenic summit factors.

Villa Louis State Historic Site – Take a trip back to life from the 19th century by vacationing Villa Louis, merely a few miles from the resort. Initially owned by Hercules Louis Dousman, this gorgeous Victorian mansion turned into a Wisconsin Historic Site in 1950 and today functions as an excellent example of British Arts and Crafts style in a tropical setting.

Effigy Mounds National Monument – Cross the Mississippi River into Iowa, and you are going to be in the existence of those sacred mounds in under 15 minutes. Believed to have been constructed by Native Americans, the piles choose the form of various creatures and are possibly meant to indicate celestial events or searching lands.
