La Crosse River State Trail – You will know Sparta’s claim as the Bicycling Capital of America once you see this 22-mile trail developed in the deserted railroad between Sparta and La Crosse. Greater than 15 minutes in the resort, the road runs to the Elroy-Sparta State Bike Trail, a second biking destination famous because of its previous railroad tunnels.
Deke Slayton Memorial Space & Bicycle Museum – This memorial museum is known for one of America’s first astronauts, Deke Slayton, and can also be devoted to the history of Sparta since the first Rails into Trails city in the nation. Watch over 80 bikes, heaps of design planes and a genuine piece of the moon, all situated only two kilometres from the resort.
River Run Golf Course – Ranked as a three-star class by Golf Digest, River Run is a must-see for most golfers. Enjoy teeing off to the lush greens together scenic Perch Lake, only 3 miles from the resort.
